Sabine Staartjes

Sabine Staartjes. A close and very talented friend with her collection ''Knitted Silk''.

Sabine or better Sebyne, is in her final year of the HKU. In her designs she is always trying to create new shapes, by changing existing shapes or to figure out new silhouettes. 

In her work you will find different contrasts in shapes, materials, colors and styles. She will always challenge herself into learning something new. 

In this collection from her third year it's all about contradictions. 

Besides the use of Silk combined with Neoprene, you can also see lots of knitting work which creates volume and gives a  playful effect in contrast with the structure of the Neoprene.

Her collection was also exposed in the Bijenkorf!

Sebyne is a very outspoken personality which is also very clear in the way she expresses herself.

She wants people to take the risk of exposing themselves, and I also think her appearance is very inspiring to us!
