GERONIMO - ART IS RESISTANCE

 Is a project of Ute Binder, a fashion designer from Germany. 

Ever since she can remember she wanted to do fashion... not only fashion but rather clothes with a statement, telling stories about real live and current issues.

GERONIMO, the master's thesis of Ute, is a reflection of the recent incident in Russia and gives an impulse to think about resistance, revolution and today's demonstration culture.

Inspired by names like Pussy Riot, Femen or Voina the clothes also show the diversity and colorfulness of revolts.

Just like wooden Matroschka dolls the big ones still domineer over the little ones. 

That kind of system is so out of use and does not work any longer. Exactly this break out becomes for example visible by the worked in and destroyed wood pieces (moiré & varnished).

So....be creative...start to act...

The slogan is: GERONIMO!
